I go to meetings regularly to talk to a friend of mine. She just so happens to be a psychologist. She's been helpin me with anger managment and a touch of PTSD.
So this someone I meet with regularly told me to go out and socialize with people outside the military. So the person I went to go hang out with was a 20yrold female. So with a little reluctance, I did.
I had a good time. We watched a movie and talked, at her place of course. I live in a house with three other bachelors, such as myself, so my place is needless to say;unbefiting for a good first impression.
Now all I got to do is get ready for a ride this weekend; polish up the Harley, break out the leathers, and keep the rubber side down.

I'm a little late welcoming you to the Blogosphere but, welcome aboard, anyway.
Would you give a sister a Harley ride??
huh!
oh dear
there's older and older... I'm waaaay tooooo old for you... my daughter's your age and she's my youngest... oh well!
enjoy the world of dating
Oh please, socializing with civilians will just piss you off...LOL!
Anger isn't a bad emotion..it's what you do with it, how you express it that can be destructive.
Anger in and of itself can be very motivating, and healing. Hell, there's a lot happening in this world that is just depressing, which is another form of anger.
Believe it or not, any normal person would have problems with anger after having seen the things you've seen. It's a very injust world. Thank GOD we are still able to do something about it. And all that we do feels so damn futile, like it's never going to be enough.
Cut yourself a little slack.
erm.... a little late with the welcome, but sent in by RSM. Hello and welcome! :)
PS Bikes are good.
Big bikes even better!

Hey, ever hear of the ALR? Might be something you'd be interested in... Vets on bikes. Our chapter is at http://nwiaalr.googlepages.com/
I'm sure there's a chapter near you...
Welcome back. I am coming from Jean's blog. Thank you for your service to our country. I come from a military family. God bless you (even though I am rebelling right now.)
Socialization... since 9/11 that's been the hardest thing for me. Luckily it's those people WHO ARE in the military who understand and relate to it... all of it including the PTSD.
Man, have an awesome ride this weekend! And if you can take pics and post them, since my friends died I've not been riding and I miss it... terribly sometimes.
Maybe someday I'll get myself a bike - a pink Harley.

I hope you had a great ride. I have had the old wing out several times this year and it's looking like I get to ride to work tomorrow, too. Yay!
